I CAN South Sudan Launches new Project in Yambio Western Equatoria State in South Sudan

With support from Misereor, I CAN South Sudan has officially launched a one year project intended to construction a well equipped modern Children Music Center which will be a rehabilitation centre for children in Western Equatoria State. This project will also include radio programs aimed at advancing the rights of children in the state.
The State Minister of Gender, Child, and Social Welfare, Hon. Cecilia Anigunde, welcomed the initiative yesterday, emphasizing the importance of the determination, preservation, and transformation of children's lives. She also urged I CAN South Sudan and other partner organizations to provide financial and technical assistance to community members in order for them to form cooperative unions, or SACCOs, and become self-sufficient.
